We camped at Medicine Rocks State Park during mid-June amongst the unique rock formations found at this extraordinary place. The campground road was well maintained as was the entire campground. On a ridge in the midst of the prairie, the Medicine Rocks are large eroded outcrops of sandstone. Unfortunately modern vandals have defaced every surface they can reach with initials and other carvings. The campsites here have simply been placed in small areas between the rocks. We stayed here on April 2nd, and there was no snow. We had a 24ft pull behind camper which was easy to turn around in all parts of the campground. We ended up camping at the last loop with great views of the sunset. The Carter County museum is a must see as well.
