30 miles out of the way, but worth the visit. Petroglyphs, clear creek, shade.
Sites #4 and 24 the best.

This is about 100 miles from home and is a great place to simply relax by the creek, have a nightly fire and a great place to take off in our Polaris Aces to head up to some spectacular country. The staff's pride shines through as the grounds are always immaculate and that includes the vault toilets too!
Reason for $0 price is because we have the annual resident state pass for camping & day use. Cost $4 for booking thru RA website only.
We stayed May 22-31. We were alone in the lower CG for the first few days but by the 27th there was not a spot to be had throughout the CG over the holiday weekend. Noise, nope! The most heard was children playing and of course the creek from winter mountain run off.
Off the main highway(16/20) about 25 miles on county back roads. Ten Sleep is the nearest town (25 miles) which is down a maintained gravel road, that offers gas, restaurants, [such as Ten Sleep Saloon for great burgers, The Sleepy Coyote for great brisket & gifts, Dirty Sally's for great milk shakes, gifts and basic groceries], saloons, and a brewery. Worland is about 45 miles away and has a full grocery store.
No internet, the way camping should be ;) but out between cattle guards on the road into the CG there is a pull off that you can get phone service - maybe.
Per the RA website: Hiking, biking, horseback and ATV trails are just a few of the many popular recreation activities. Enjoy access to hundreds of miles of both non-motorized and multi-use trails within the area. Public horse corrals are first-come, first-serve. In addition, brown trout are abundant in the Medicine Lodge Creek and nearby streams!
Posted some of the camp sites, but did not do any that were occupied, other than ours and the one that had horses along side the horse corrals.

This time of year there isn't many people around so I just went right to my camp site and set up. The ground was level so that made it really easy. The camp sites are well spaced out so you're not on top of each other. The whole place is so beautiful. We walked around and took lots of pictures. There are a couple streams with bridges and some cabins to check out. Lots of artifacts and pictographs. There are a few bathrooms throughout the park to use instead of using the RV bathroom. They were clean and really smelled good. Next spring we plan on going back and taking our ATVs. There are miles and miles of ATV roads to use.

The arch aspects of the park are interesting and worth the visit just for that. Good bicycling area too.
only a very small handful of sites have 20A hookups. With that there are generators running quite a but during the morning and day.
No internet at your site. It can be had in between the first and second cattleguards for ATT and Verizon.
Sites are all different. Mine was leve right by the brook. Very peaceful with the sound of the running brook clearly from the snow runoff of the Big Horn Mountains that you are in the shadow of. $5 for a bundle of wood and we made fires each night there.
Overall a nice park but 32 miles to the closest town (Ten Sleep). So bring what you need.

What a little gem! It’s deceptively large with probably 30 sites or so. Didn’t appear to have water or electric at any of the sites; some were very level for RVs and others are just grassy areas for tents. There’s a public-use horse corral and at least one (adorable!!!) residential dwelling tucked within the park. The group shelter area is particularly nice. Lush grass everywhere and a quiet little stream. I had no cell service here or anywhere nearby.
None of the historical literature mentions that the petroglyphs are CUTE and great food for the imagination.
The overall vibe here is very peaceful and most people seemed to be here for longer stays. Requires online reservations ahead of time and is $8/night for Wyoming residents and $16 for out of staters.
If you’re coming north from Tensleep, do NOT take a right at the gravel road marked “Hyattville” unless you want 9 miles of insane washboard gravel. Keep trucking north until a paved option appears.
