MT F&W page says maximum length is 25ft. Has this changed or just not enforced?

Otherwise, good to go.

We are full time RVers In a 38 ft Class A that spent 6 nights at this location. There are two signs that report a 7 day stay. On Monday early afternoon we did see a Big Game Wildlife ranger stop and seemed to be checking out the area, making sure everything was in order.
The road conditions were good enligh. It’s 1.5 miles down a hard dirt/gravel road, we went about 10-15 MPH. Road can be narrow and narrow short bridge only one vehicle at a time can use.
Campground is FCFS with 7 dedicated gravel spots for campers, 1 vault toilet in good condition (bring your own teepee), 1 handicap parking/camp spot. The first 4 spots have make shift access to water but those are smaller with slight slants. We mainly saw 24ft or smaller Class C’s, vans, cars, and tents use these spots. The 3 farthest sites are longer and flatter. Our rig could have fit in either of the last 3 spots (closer to the roundabout) We chose the very last spot. And had room for our towed car.
You could work off of ATT or Starlink here, we did for a week. Verizon was not excellent. Place is quiet and all campers pretty much stayed to themselves.
Tuesday and Wednesday in mid July were the slowest with at least 1 open spot left each night. Other than that the places was full before 5:00 PM and late campers were trying to double park with others if they were nice.
It got hot here in July! The water is nice but prone to some kind of algae and swimmers itch. The town of Ennis is small but cute and Virginia City is a 30 minute drive with is worth it!! Hope you enjoy!

We pulled in and just grabbed the first site we saw - level enough, long enough to not have to disconnect and free! Seems a lot of people pull in for a few hours, then leave. Incredible views of lake, mountains, sky and had a deer walk through our site (luckily dog was sleeping). We arrived on a Monday and had our pick of the handful of sites. We picked the site beside the handicap spot. Probably the best spot. There was some traffic throughout the week but didn’t fill up until Friday - then there was someone in every spot. The sites can accommodate large rigs - we have a 34ft airstream. The road in is in great condition. The only problem during this time of year is potential for toxic algae (although we didn’t see any) and swimmers itch (horrible rash you get from parasites)! We did not swim because of this. Swimmers itch is apparently a known thing about Ennis Lake. We did take our SUPs out which was nice. We filled up our water in Belgrade at Rocky Mt Supply although went back a few days later and someone had broken the handle so no fresh water fill up after that. Great T-Mobile service, okay ATT service. Hardly any hiking/mountain biking nearby.

This place is awesome! It deserves a full five star. Our campsite was overlooking a small lake with a mountain pass behind. We found this randomly and so glad we did. We have full signal with Verizon. Roads in were excellent. Probably about 11 or 12 campsites. We were fortunate to get the last on a Saturday evening.

There’s 8 sites, we got here on a Wednesday June 2022 and we had 1st pick, we choose site 2! 3 bars of Verizon, we’ve been days without service in big sky forest camping (but totally loved red Cliff Campground too!) Vault toilet, nearest dump location is in ennis is for $10 at RV village. We stayed there one night as well and enjoyed the full hookups.
FYI the road you turn onto for a mile, is a bumpy dirt road but totally doable, just take it slow.

Our friend told us about this place. She hit a homerun with this. There's maybe 7 or 8 sites. They all have a view of the lake. I can't believe this is free!!!!
This is the best boondocking we've done in 5 1/2 years.

Very windy but sunny. Wonderful views down the lake and over to the mountains. Bigger rigs further over but we are away from them in a short spot, perfect for our Sprinter van. Doubt we will hear their generators from this distance.

Only two sites were taken when we arrived late in the day.

Some of the sites are smaller and can only fit a smaller RV. Right by the lake and really close to Ennis, Bozeman is an hour away if you want a bigger city with some nightlife. The dirt road on the way in is high quality and not bad at all. Respect the speed limit as you are passing by private lands. Dry camping with a single vault toilet. No trash bins, pack it in pack it out.
