This was a great stop as we were dealing with scary winds and needed an emergency spot for the night. Super cute little park with free dump station and potable water. Highly recommend. Also about a 15 minute walk to the Dalton Gang Hideout, which was an added bonus.

We stopped here after a long day of driving. Right off of 54 so some road noise. Bathrooms available with sink and flush toilets. Trash bins available. Great AT&T signal. Sites are level with picnic tables. Really a great stop for free.

The City of Meade does a wonderful job maintaining this park. There is signage for RV parking. No hookups (which is fine as we have a generator). Dump station at park. Multiple playground areas, horseshoe pits, basketball court, sand volleyball court, splash pad, and 9 hole disc golf course. Perfect overnight for our family!

Stayed one night on our way through KS - a clean, well-kept city park. A total surprise to find such a welcoming place along the long road through Kansas. It was noisy during (families with kids playing) the day and into the evening, but after the sun goes down the people leave - cars and trucks on 54 heard until about 10pm. Then it is quiet and peaceful and feels very safe.
No need to make a reservation - just drive in and find a nice flat spot near one of the camping signs. We appreciate the generosity of Meade very much for this park - thank you!

When we first arrived, we couldn’t quite figure out where we were supposed to park. When we first arrived, we couldn’t quite figure out where we were supposed to park. We decided that the open area next to the road was correct, even though it turns out that the area is also a disk golf hole’s fairway (a few kids actually hit our RV twice). Anyway, the sounds of trucks, trains and farm equipment goes on and on all day and night. The water is turned off in the entire park, including the dump station rinse, on November 5th. Nice that the town offers this, but it doesn’t provide for a good night’s rest.
