Mosquitoes are vicious in the springtime, but come July. It is great camping. The town of Orillia is close by for all your needs.

We got lucky and got a great spot as long as you have some kind of shade. Like an awning or kitchen tent. The lot is huge and flat. We had quite a bit of rain. We walk the trail and is good easy trail. We were hocked up to 30amp and had no issues with it. The beach is shallow for a long way out. Beach is about 15-20 feet to the grass. ... more

Very long and lots of room. No stores here that I know of. You can buy firewood though. Most lots are tree covered but we happened to get an open site. It was very quiet here the week we stayed. Cell service with Rogers wasn’t to good with phone and had LTE for internet, not to bad.

We were originally booked into site #79 which is along the perimeter. It was really nice - large, wooded and private but unfortunately a large puddle from all the rain made it difficult for us to get situated. The staff were very helpful for the move - gave me a map with all of the available sites on it. We moved to site 73 which is part of the pull thrus in the middle of the campground. It was fine - the sites are wide enough that there is privacy - but the perimeter sites are definitely prettier.
It looks like a great park for families - the beaches were large & the playground was good. There is a short (3km) trail that follows the shoreline that was quite pretty.
Restrooms were older but very clean.
