“I found Mcgregor Lakes to be clean and quiet”

Reviewed Aug 06, 2017

Overall Rating

I just came from Glacier NP where it was quite busy. It is nice to be here a night and empty the tanks and get water. The laundry is clean and all machines work!! The showers are extremely clean and welcoming.

The owners are friendly as well as Dave the host.

No complaints and found the trail to hike around the lake. Very nice.

Wi-Fi is very good and responsive.

I have no reservations about this place whatsoever.

There is no cell reception here but there again 50% of the places in Montana do not have coverage?????

“Full hookups but no lake access that we could find.”

Reviewed Aug 10, 2016

Overall Rating

McGregor Lakes RV park is situated across Hwy 2 from McGregor Lakes and the McGregor Lakes Resort. The park roads and sites are dirt/gravel with some anemic grass and a few small trees. Separation is adequate. They advertise free WiFi, but it took us an hour and a booster just to get connected. Once connected we could check emails, but not much else. We had no Verizon service at all.

On the up side, there are several very long, level pull-throughs with FHU-50amp service. We were able to avoid unhooking the toad for our one night stay. There is also a short “nature trail” along the perimeter of the park.

On the down side, there is no access to the lake from the park or the resort across the way – at least nothing we could find and we walked a mile or so hunting for public access. The lake is beautiful but ringed with posted private residences. The park is right next to Hwy 2 so there is a good deal of road noise, at least in the sites closest to the entrance.

If you don’t need the FHUs, I’d recommend looking at one of the public/state parks in the area.
