This is a gorgeous park. Great, level sites, not too close to each other. Nice hiking trails and park employees were all super nice.

Great place to stay! Loved being on the water. The view was beautiful. We stayed at site 51 (tent only area) and in our opinion, it was the best tent spot. Bathrooms are close by. My only complaints - there were several ant mounds, so you have to keep an eye out when you’re walking and take that into consideration when setting up y... more
Great place to stay! Loved being on the water. The view was beautiful. We stayed at site 51 (tent only area) and in our opinion, it was the best tent spot. Bathrooms are close by.
My only complaints - there were several ant mounds, so you have to keep an eye out when you’re walking and take that into consideration when setting up your tent, and the people before us left some cigarettes on the ground. But we’d definitely recommend it, especially if you can get a spot on the water!

Most sites have electric/water hookups, covered picnic tables, Bbq grills and fire pits. Many sites right on the water! Very sparsely populated on a Monday in September.
