Fantastic site with 30 and 50 amp hookups. The spots can be a little tight so larger rigs may have a bit of trouble. The campsite is nestled in the woods with great trails accessible directly from camp. The site are well spaced allowing for good privacy. We will absolutely be back.

This is a local SP near my home. I hike here often but haven't camped until now. I booked the only open site available that would fit my 38 ft FR Georgetown XL. Site 137 is huge but 100% cement. Despite the solid surface, it's off level enough to lift the rear tires off the ground a bit when getting level. Most sites here are sloped and there are only a few that can handle a long coach. There is ample room for shorter coaches, towables, vans, tents, etc. The sites are all nicely maintained with gravel. Pads and drives. Most sites have some trees and bushes between them adding privacy.
The park has a pool, nature center, and some excellent hiking. Spencer (population 2200) is just 2 miles down the road and has a grocery, tiny Walmart, gas, food, etc. Bloomington is about 15 miles east and is home to Indiana University. It has everything except for a camping world.

We actually stayed in the primitive campground, we had the weekend planned for a couple of months then picked up our first travel trailer the day before the trip. We met some friends and family at the campground and had a great time. The park is fantastic and very clean, the people working there were very friendly and helpful. I did not even look at my phone during the extended weekend so I cannot review the cell coverage.

Arrived after dark, but still easy to park RV. Lots of tent campers among RVs. Site 170 is handicap accessible and is close to bathroom/shower building. Lots of activities for families on the weekend.

This park is a southern Indiana beauty. Indiana's first state park dating to 1916. The heart of the park is McCormick's Creek Canyon with stunning views, hiking and some of the best wildflower displays in the state...and let's don't forget McCormick's Creek waterfall...yes its probably only 10' but this is a big deal for Indiana. The park offers numerous hikes varying in difficulty accessing features and attractions to include a 90' fire tower, scenic canyon and waterfall, small cave (Wolf Cave), interesting sinkholes and some stunning second growth hardwood forest. A center piece of the park is the Canyon Inn offering hotel accommodations, dining, seasonal swimming pool (guests only) and in the winter months a massive warming fireplace. The campground provides 189 electric only sites (30 amp) typically gravel pads and 32 primitive sites; most having nice tree canopy for summer shade. Larger coaches have limited choices. The park has an exceptional seasonal outdoor pool, seasonal camp store, very active nature center and naturalist program. Just minutes from the park is the town of Spencer with everything you need to re-supply or grab a dinner out...restaurants, grocery, Wal-Mart, fuel and more.
