I’ve stayed twice, once in October 2020 and again over July 4th weekend 2021. Stayed about 4 nights each time and felt safe. The July 4th weekend we left our Airstream for a night and no issues. During our stays we didn’t notice any problems and several people left their trailer or motorhome for our entire stay.

I would feel safe doing so, as long as you keep things locked up. It has never been full when we were there, but I would imagine if there was a Bears game or some other big event it could be. You have to make your reservation online - there were no attendants at the lot.

Yes - relatively! This is a truck marshaling yard, so you'll see a lot of driverless trucks parked for a day or few. There is security present, but I would make sure you're locked up with nothing extraneous hanging outside of your rig. Also be wary of where you park in the lot. I recommend tucking in near other RVs you might see. We witnessed a tractor trailer take out an RV's side mirror without stopping. (Tuck your mirrors in too!) It's a pretty active lot, so just be aware.
