Nice biking trails, and we walked the shore of Lake Erie on a nice path. The swamp trail is great…bald eagles, egrets, even a trumpeter swan. Signs are great to get to the beaches and golf course, but you need the map to find the swamp trail.

As I was driving a Uhaul and had plenty of area to park. In a tent, grass was nice, site was clean, bathrooms were very clean, had free showers. Will definitely stay here again! Nature feel, deer, Lake Erie, bird sounds.

Great state park in northwest Ohio. Situated on Lake Erie the park has a lot to offer. There is a beach, trails, fishing, and biking along with a great campground. Almost all the sites have a feeling of privacy due to bushes and trees in-between sites. We had an electric only site but used our solar power without connecting. There is a dumpsite and water available. We enjoyed campfires at night along with cool evenings and a quiet peaceful setting. Wife and I both work remote and had no issues with internet speeds with our hotspot and weBoost.

Great Park! Large sites with lots of natural screening. Very well maintained and clean. Nice paved bike paths. Poor cell phone service. Decent service if you have a cell phone booster.

Shrubs on both sides and very spacious with a picnic table and fire ring. Our site was full hook-ups. Bathrooms are very nice and kept clean. Laundry room has 2 washers ($1.50/load) and 2 dryers ($1.00/load). There are walking/biking trails all throughout the park, a huge beach area, marina, couple of fishing ponds and golf course. We watched the host check every site and clean up after folks were departing. If you depart on a Sunday and need to dump, please know you will be sitting in a line, waiting. The line started forming at 7:00am and didn't stop until 2:00pm. The line does go fast since Maumee has a dump hose already attached for your use to speed things up. We loved our stay here and plan to come back for an extended period.

The kids loved riding around in circles with their bikes and scooters on the cup-de-sac. We sat in chairs around the edge and watched. Had other families with us and it made it a really great experience. We would do this trip again. Only thing we wished was that they had more full hook up sites. Only electric on most sites. Water points all over the campground, but will have to have jugs to fill them. The main potable water point is near the dump station area. There are about 15 sites that are full hook up, but they are right at the entrance and not really close to the ponds. You could fish Lake Erie from behind the lodge. Saw some people catch most big fish, but we mostly fished the smaller ponds. We will definitely come here again.

We linked a video review if you want to see the park!! We stayed there in October of 2019. Almost all sites are 30amp elec only (one loop is now 50amp full hook up), but the bathhouses are nice and clean if you want to enjoy a longer stay than your tanks allow. Very large, private feeling sites since almost all of them are separated by thick green foliage. Great biking and walking just within the campground, but there is a trail that links the campground to the rest of the state park including the nature center, nature trail, swimming beaches, and the lodge! We fell in love with this place very quickly, and will definitely be going back.
The only downside is having so many electric only sites with only one dump station. If you leave on a Sunday prepare to wait over an hour to dump your tanks! Even with this we still give this campground 5 stars though.
