Question about Mather Campground

Phil asked on 3/17/2022

Looking to go to the Grand Canyon the second week of November. Anyone been camping in that area during early to mid November? We camp in a Rockwood A frame. Thank you for the replies.

We stayed there in November 2021 the week before Thanksgiving. Weather was in the 50s during the day and 30s at night. Not very crowded and all the loops were open. Rode our bikes all over the place on the bike paths. We have a travel trailer and the indoor temps got down to about 50 degrees. Some sites are more shaded which might make it cooler. We were in site 110 on the Juniper loop. Great sunny spot and kept our solar well charged. Bathrooms were working but not the outdoor dishwashing sinks. Shower house was open.

We camped there around then in a campervan. The weather was cold but comfortable with jackets on. The bathrooms were clean and working. Shuttles were available. Not too crowded.
