Donations only. Electricity hookups, water spigots, and a one-hole dump station make this a wonderful place to camp. The restroom is old and a bit skanky and it appears to have once had showers as well, but they have been disconnected. Just mere blocks from historic downtown Marysville which boasts their own Pony Express Museum among other interesting things. A bakery and several restaurants also are downtown as well as a WalMart on the way out of town to stock up on needed comestibles. Also downtown is a bike shop that is only open on Thursdays and Saturdays.
PLEASE DONATE!!! DO NOT BE A CHEAPSKATE. It is so nice of this town to offer us a place to camp for a night or two. There is a five night limit.

very quiet even though train tracks close but i like the sound of trains. the city is lovely and from the park there’sa trail that goes right into main street. a few restaurants and gas stations in town no bars but lovely nonetheless i stayed an extra day to look at the cool museums.
very nice
please don’t be a cheapskate and give them a donation at the box when you enter. this is really a great park and a stellar idea. i spent $100 or more on various things while there whereas id have only bought gas otherwise if i just passed thru

Mature trees throughout. Plenty of fox squirrels and black squirrels that have their own feeding buffets that humans put out. It's far enough off of the main street to skip most of the traffic noise.
The power receptacles are on various pedestals and poles. There aren't "sites", per se. Some parallel pull-thru parking, some back-ins if you're small. Just fit in however you can and stay off the grass. All of the "sites" are up and over a rounded curb, so you'll have to carefully drive over that curb to get off of the street.
There are also a handful of tent-only sites with 20 amp.
Leave a donation and spend some money in town to say thank you. Throw a note in with your donation to let the city leaders know that you appreciated the gesture and spent some time (and money!) in town.

Note there is some road noise and trains in the distance, there are a reported 60 trains daily thru town.

I only stayed the one night at this beautiful city park, but I will definitely plan a longer stay the next time I am in the area. Would love to check out the Pony Express Museum, and other sites this area has to offer. I was worried about finding a space large enough but my 37 foot trailer and truck fit just fine with room to spare. The rest rooms were closed most likely due to COVID-19, but the dump station was available. The sites had 50 amp service and fresh water was also available. Max stay at this park is 5 days and dig this, it's free. They had a park bulletin board with information about the park and surrounding area and there were also surveys with envelopes to make a donation to help support the park. I know I said this was all free, but come on now, leave this park some coin will you.
The nite time was very quiet, very little traffic was heard at all. The crickets and other natural sounds just lual one to sleep. The park is full of the Black Squirrels, and the birds awaken you in the morning hours. Very nice and clean park, great job Marysville, KS.
Marysville is located on route 36 which is a great way to travel across the country. Most gas stations had good access for large RV units along the route, but you do have to keep an eye out for them. Traffic was lite from Colorado through central Illinois and was 4 lane in many places. Road surface was great up to Indiana were the frost heave started to show up as speed bumps.

This is my second time camping here. Really nice little park. But it’s catching on. There are 6 other rv’s besides me here. And they are all retired folks like myself.
Good location and good layouts

Nice shaded park with flat parking areas for small RV’s, vans or campers. Also marked spots for tents. Short walk into town which is cute and has all the conveniences. Small dump station near entrance. A Walmart a few miles away.

The Marysville City Park is a great place to stop. I expect that the "old town" downtown Marysville is probably interesting when it's not COVID-19 time. When we walked through it at 10:30 am the morning after our stay almost all shops were closed. The town is apparently known for its black squirrels (which we say in the park); there are caricature statues of a black squirrel everywhere (all wearing masks when we were there - hopefully that last bit won't make a bit of sense to anyone reading this 10 years later).
We stayed in the second site on the left as you enter from 10th street (the one just after you turn left rather than right towards the restroom/dump station). This spot has no electric hookup on its own but, with a long enough extension cord, you can reach the 20 amp service for the first site on the left. We have a 50 foot extension cord which, combined with our 25 foot 30 amp cord was plenty. There is water, so even if you don't have a long enough cord you won't be totally boondockin' it.
There is a dump station just past the bathroom. And the bathroom is where you can make a donation to Marysville to help keep the RV spots in the park going.

We stayed here during the Highway 36 Treasure Hunt. Beautiful park with 30 and 50 amp hookups. Fairly quiet except for the trains. The restrooms were nice. Camping was free with a free will donation. I was impressed by this community.

“Not Good. Full Of Freeloaders. ”

All sites were full. Most sites seemed to be occupied by people who had lived there for weeks. Don’t waste your time coming here as you will likely be disappointed.
