Fire rings and picnic tables. Most sites are level. There was a small playground and several pit toilets. We just spent the night to climb the fire tower to see the fall foliage. There is a nearby gypsum factory that unfortunately you can hear. It wasn’t overly obnoxious. There are mountain bike trails that we didn’t use but I’m not sure how much I would trust their upkeep. We tried to walk a trail but it wasn’t in good shape. We also tried to find the arboretum to walk it’s trail but gave up because it wasn’t well marked.

“Great state forest for a night or a few days”

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Had planned to just stop for the hiking trials for the day but decided to stay the night in their primitive campsites.

$13 a night for no hookups is a bit high but would stay again if driving through this way.

Mostly filled with hunters at this time of the year and the sound of generators can be heard late into the evening. We used ours for awhile so we had no issues with the noise.

Check out the fire tower and enjoy the trials.

Great AT&T cell/internet service at our site.
