This is one of the most well organized, well-maintained provincial park campgrounds that we have encountered to date. We have visited nine previous campgrounds. Our site was located right on the lake and we had a steep stairway down to a rocky beach. Lots of water sports, we had our paddle boards out with our dogs three times. The water is Initially chilly but once you get in it’s beautiful. They have showers and pit toilets, trash and water spigots throughout. We liked our site because we didn’t have anyone to one side of us and our own beach, on the negative side everyone walked past us to get to the shower. If we stay again, we would try to get a lake site further up.
The Ranger came and went over all the rules which we’ve never had happened previously. We told him we’ve been at other provincial parks, but he still went over all the rules which was great. There are a few first come sites, the day we left Thursday the campground was full. They had allowed a large trailer and truck to park in the day use overnight, not sure how long they would let them stay there.
There was a very steep hike out of the campground, but no other small hikes.
We went to Revelstoke national park and did some hiking in there. The major problem there is that they don’t allow dogs up on the top of the summit. They don’t even allow you to drive your vehicle with a dog in it through that area to get to other backpacking areas. I found this very strange and wondered what the reason was for this?
We did a few hikes on the other side of Revelstoke.
We did our laundry in Revelstoke, but it was small and very crowded and expensive.
We were able to place our Starlink without issue

Beautiful and quiet BC Park Campground. Right on the Columbia, 25 minutes away fro Revelstoke city center. Loved our stay, the scenery is amazing, and the water is mesmerizing!

There is no park office but there is a self serve kiosk at the entrance. If you have a reservation, one just continues to your site. A clerk does rounds in the evening to confirm your details.
We lucked out. Our site, 61, was as reserve site that just happened to be available. It was a back in that was plenty long enough for our rig and towed. There are no services just a table and fire pit. There is not much of a buffer between sites but distancing was good. It was next to the path that leads to the water. The first come, first served sites are not water accessible.
The park was clean and well groomed. We did not use the free showers or flush toilets but they were very clean. There are also vault toilets throughout the park that were also very clean and odoor free. Cell service does not exist thus no internet or any OTA TV. Satellite would be difficult in most sites because of the trees. The Camp Host does have a sat phone in case of emergencies.
We paid $28.00 per night and feel we received fair value. We would return if in the area. There is dispersed camping up the road but many sites were small and down rough roads.

The spot was right on the water but really didn't have water access because of a steep drop off to the lake. There was also some trees but we could still see the lake and the trees provided some shade.
There is also a day use area with a nice beach and a good playground. Also a boat launch.
