“Good spot for an overnight stop”

Overall Rating

We stopped here for an overnight on the way to Missouri. The location is convenient to the highway. The campground is mostly open and doesn't offer a lot of privacy and there isn't a lot of space between sites. Many of the spots are pull through and ours had water and electric hookup. We stayed on a Wednesday night in late September and there were plenty of spots open. The dump station was of good quality. We had solid Verizon coverage and 12 TV channels. Our spot was fairly level. This campground is a great spot for an overnight stop, though I'm not sure I'd want to stay much more than that. If you need a bit to eat while staying I'd recommend the Dairy Mart and getting the Corn Nuggets.

Stopped for the night while heading south. A few open spots on a June Friday night At 915 pm. Quiet and nice trails and conservation center. Clean. Showers closed due to Covid.
Dog friendly.
Not as spacious as a state park,,but this is in the middle of Iowa farm country.
