Despite the previous road review my minivan had no trouble getting to #7. With stormy weather and flash flood warnings I was happy to be in a high location with easy access to paved roads. No bugs and cool temps make this a great escape from desert heat. Loved it!

Marapai road has so much potential for wonderful dispersed camping. Unfortunately the road to the sites is impassable for any low clearance trailers
The good: The area has wonderful views of the valley and Thumb Butte. The sites are well spaced and large with good cell coverage.
The bad: The road is not maintained and there are several large ruts that make it impassable for most rigs. The worst of them occuring right after site 2. If one day the road is regraded it would be a wonderful camping experience.
Site 7 is a large site that would allow a medium 5th wheel to turn. It has a level spot in the center and is full sun. It has a view of Thumb Butte.
The site had 5 bars of AT&T 4G with 130 down and 7.5 up and 1 bar of Verizon 4G with 2.75 down and 0.66 up.
