“Some Sites OK For Small Vans”

Overall Rating

The first night, we were in #7 and it was very difficult to get into the site. There are large rocks placed all along the road so you can’t really go over any edges to help “angle in” or anything like that. Our van is only 18 feet, so anything longer would be questionable for that site. There are some other sites, particularly #19, that were better. It really depends on your vehicle. It’s technically a tent-only campground, but very small camping vehicles are ok. If you can fit, it’s the only spot near Sedona that’s reservable for $26 a night! Oh also the road into and out of the campground is short, steep, and narrow. And it has vault toilets only. Just look at a map or some photos of the campground before you go! The descriptions on rec.gov may not be super reliable.
