Yes this park is close to RMNP but go elsewhere. Try the KOA. The sites are one step up from a parking lot. The River ambience is a come on. The wifi was 1 mbps. A lot of money for hook ups.

Great location next to a thriving trout stream. Good access to both town and NP. They’re going through a major site renovation updating utilities and as a result the sites can get a tad muddy but as soon as the grass takes root it will take care of that problem.

Pet friendly park. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay here again

No wi-fi in the park or on your cell phone. Limited cell service. Park was clean and we had a great time. Bathrooms were clean. Hosts were excellent. We had a riverfront site and it was worth it. I said that I won’t be visiting again because Estes Park was ridiculously busy even though the campground exceeded expectations.

Great location for the Rocky National Park.
Minutes from downtown Estes Park.
The showers leave a lot to be desired, and desperately need updating and cleaning.

Very close to the Estes Park entrance for Rocky Mountain National park. We were close to lake Estes great Kayaking & fishing. There were Eagles catching fish every time we were there. There's a nice hike around the lake and spots to hang out along the lake.
We went into the Rocky Mountain National Park a lot what a beautiful place. Bring warm clothes it gets colder the higher you go. We drove both routes to the summit one from the Estes entrance & one coming in Falls river entrance (less busy that Estes entrance). The falls river road is a dirt road but hard dirt so easy to drive other than some tight turns. It's one way which helps. We saw many Elk, Marmot's, deer, on this side of the park.
The staff was friendly they had a ice cream social while we were there it was fun. We stopped at a burger & Gyro place on the main road after leaving the park and had the best burger & Gyro. They had Elk, Buffalo & much more.

There are two shower blocks and laundries which were both very clean. Laundry was $2 per load, same for dryer. All sites were full hook up. There are some sites along the river but it would be quite noisy, so I was happy to be one row back. Location - not far from the town but you can't walk. Above price includes AAA discount.

The following morning they had a nice little breakfast for the guests and it was a very social event. We enjoyed talking to a number of other campers and all seemed to like the park as well.
We look forward to staying here again later this year for a long weekend or maybe a week.
