Malden Lake Campground

We were able to reserve this lakeside pull through in the morning , check in in the afternoon. EZ using the rec.gov app. Site is large, not too close to neighbors. Paved (rough) pull through, gravel sitting area, cement pad for pic table. This park is older bur not wore out! Lots of trees. It feels like a family fish camp because a lot of campers have fishing boats at site, 2 or 3 PU trucks, bikes, screen tents and lots of easy to hear “family” conversation, Quiet prevailed after 10pm.

Both sites were big and level with picnic table and prep table. They have fire rings and separate stand up grills. Electric and water hook ups. Big trees throughout. Playgrounds were ok, surrounded by standing water and soft ground. Hosts were helpful when it came to rebooking and moving sites, much more helpful then over phone agent. The lake is inviting for fishing and a floating dock at boat ramp and open ample shoreline give the ability.
Overall a good campground, average COE campground. I'd stay here again but will probably try one of the surrounding campgrounds instead, for comparison purposes.
