Question about Magnolia Beach Dispersed Camping

PugPug The Level 73 Warlock asked on 2/10/2020

1) Noise / parties. We're looking for a quiet beach during spring break when our little one gets off school. Is it going to be a party land down here?

2) Galveston and Pasadena smell terrible. How's this place?

Can't say for sure since it's spring break. When we were there, it was throughout the week in the middle of December and there were probably a dozen or so other campers. All of which kept to themselves...it was a peaceful place to hang out for a few days. As far as a smell goes, we never noticed anything...thank goodness!

It has been quiet both times we've stayed there, the wind will be the loudest thing to put up with.

Noise was very low. Most of the folks there were older and seeking peace and quiet it seemed. Smell wasn’t an issue for us either. Good luck!

We like visiting beaches in winter. It was breezy so there was no particular foul smell or stale air. We were only there a couple of days so can't offer any insight on spring break traffic. Area government offices might have helpful info.

Camping is free and unregulated so during party time it won't attract the best campers. It can get messy too when garbage piles up, The farther down the beach the farther you get from garbage cans the better you will find it. The beach runs a long way to the Gulf so I'd suggest going for it.

We really enjoyed the place. It was very quiet when we were there. Everyone respected others space. May not be like that all the time but we had a very relaxing stay
