Is this bridge 10,000 lbs maximum or 10,000 lbs per axle?

It's 10,000 lbs per axle or tandem. The sign at the bridge is visible on Google street view.

I don’t know but we drove over it with a 40 foot fifth wheel and there were much larger rigs on the beach.

There is a way to avoid this bridge - simply follow 316 to ocean drive and turn left. You will come in the “back way” and there are no weight restrictions that way
