It was great place. We really enjoyed with kids and our dog. Water was pretty clean and neighbors were very quite and respectful. Only think please don't park so close to the water. 2-3 times a day ships are passing and bringing little small tsunamis. We didn't use restroom. There is a guy cooking brisket tacos 7/24. $7 per taco.

Overall Rating
This was our second time here since 2022. We spent 5 days on the water’s edge watching the ships sail by. Like last time, everyone is respectful of your privacy and it was quiet. We’re fully contained so we didn’t use the bathroom but it was great having plenty of trash cans nearby. We will definitely be coming back.

First time at Magnolia beach. I camped from 2/18/2023 thru 3/4/2023. Port Lavaca is maybe 20 minutes and has a Walmart, HEB and a few other big box stores. Very eclectic crowd which made the stay so much more interesting. I was there the full 14 days and had only one neighbor I was glad to see go...they threw their trash on the beach. Great FREE camping!! Loved it!

Please note - there is a 10,000 lb axle or tandem weight limit coming through magnolia just before you get to the beach. To avoid this follow 316 until you hit ocean drive and turn left. Nice flushable bathrooms with plenty of lights. Water is great but watch the wind. About 100 feet out the water only gets to 4-6 feet deep so it’s excellent for swimming kayaking or fishing

Please note that the north side entrance has a bridge with a weight limit of 10000 pounds. For heavier rigs, you must circle around the south side, through the Indianola park.
