“Fantastic Beach Camping!”

Reviewed May 21, 2019

Overall Rating

We pulled onto the beach around noon and found a great spot smack dab in the middle of the stretch of beach between the bathrooms. The campers really bunch up at each end near the bathrooms, but there was a pretty wide area right in the middle without campers. that we pulled right into, leaving enough space so as not to be uncomfortab... more

We stayed here right after a storm so the water was high and we parked at one of the cute pink shelters with grassy area before the beach (because the sand was under water). We stayed 6 nights there and then moved over to park right on the sand for the rest of the stay. The sand is compact and all shell (great for the kids or kids at... more

“Peaceful Free Beach Boondocking”

Reviewed Mar 01, 2019

This was our first beach camping experience. We had no problem finding the entrance to the beach and then finding a place to park. The sand has a lot of crushed shell in it, making it very easy to drive on. We did not use the bathroom and shower facilities but we did take a look at them and I'm including pictures. There were ple... more

We had seen reviews and watched a lot of YouTube videos on Magnolia Beach but was not sure if it would live up to expectations. We have had a very relaxing and nice stay here. The beach is clean, people have been very nice and it has not been crowded. The best part is that it is free camping. There are no hookups but they do have a cle... more

The posted pictures cropped out the crap. Like the refinery the ship was headed to, or the abandoned shacks, or the travelers vehicles/homes that are certain to become abandoned soon, or the overflowing garbage cans, or the excrement on flush toilets without seats.

“Crowded but not bad”

Reviewed Jan 08, 2019

Overall Rating

Seems to be the place everyone knows about. EVERYONE. The beach is crumbles shell almost like broken glass. Hard packed but not barefoot friendly. Our closest neighbor used a generator. I think so did the next guy. It’s fine for a pinch but the cell service was slow on top of the crowd. It just didn’t work for us.
