Overall Rating

Entrance from the road not to clearly marked and only at the last minute . On a hill with a sharp turn. Overall nice experience. We were up on the hill. The first site they gave us was not level. Our back wheels would have been off the ground by s foot. Second site was still not level but not as bad.
The view up the cove and the beach is worth the trouble.
Services were okay. We don’t typically use the bathrooms so no comment on that. Cell service is not very good. Wifi wasn’t good. Very friendly staff.

Overall Rating

Halfway up the west coast to Cape Brenton NP is MacCleod's. Keep you eyes peled as there was only one sign warning you, The turn was over the brink of a hill with a sharp left down to the road into the C/G.

Very private, about one mile from the highway is a resort styled C/G with many contract sites. On Canada Day weekend the tent sites were readily available and the sites with the best views over the ocean beach were vacant. MacLeods offers grassy sites, wide spaces, generator useage and nice people in general. These are the none-service sites.

The rest of facilities are nothing special; close sites, gravel roads, so so facilities. They have a short season and they compete with a number of other campgrounds up to the Cape.

The west side of the Cape is quieter, less developed and more our style. This is a great place if you are self contained.

EVERY SUNSET IS SPECTACULAR!
