After full-time on the road for a couple of years, this is my favorite campground ever, between the US and Canada. You are on the largest freshwater lake in Cape Breton, and we didcthe National Park a couple of days while here, absolutely beautiful!!
While mostly seasonal campers, the best sites are for transient campers. You can launch your kayak or just swim right from your site. They are spacious, grassy and offer stunning views.
The owners are simply the nicest people you'll ever meet. Even the permanents residents are super friendly. We ended up playing "washers" with them at night.
Pool for the kiddos, some grocery items like bread, buns, condiments available, but best to be prepared, a grocery store is 25 min away. Super cute towns everywhere and a couple decent breweries.
Bathrooms and laundry are clean and reasonably priced. We had cell service if we were by the main office or out on the lake.
We will definitely come back to this gem.

A lot of seasonal campers here but all of the best spots are left for nightly/ weekend/ weekly campers. Best spots line the beach on the only freshwater lake in Cape Breton. Great community atmosphere, activities for kids as well as adults. Wonderful owners on site and extremely friendly. Small store and resteraunt on site. 10 mins to main road. Get groc right away once you reach Cape Breton as Baddeck is about 25 mins away. Reservations are helpful but we didn’t have and they squeezed us in on a really busy weekend but we did get the last one. Cell and internet access at site. Great for boats, kayaks and canoes.
alichris would stay here again
