Pleasantly surprised at this beautiful clean CG. Spacing is good and sites very clean. Lovely lake a short walk away. Nice camp host. Close to town and commercial amenities. A few sites are reversed for trailers which require access from the opposite direction on the loop road, so check this out in advance.

It’s a great campground with lots of space at our site. Very level tent pad, quiet but very close to Prescott if you need anything. Some sites close to the road get noise, but our site was fine.

Several things to share in this review. Originally booked site H33 which was indicated to hold an RV up to 35 ft. on Recreation.gov website at the time of reserving. Upon arrival, we were disappointed to see that the "parking area" was actually parallel parking within a cul-de-sac radius area. This would put our 3' slide out in the path of traffic and there was no place to part our F350 tow vehicle. If other RV's were in spaces adjoining this site, there would be no ability to use this site for a large RV. For this site, the picnic area was down several steps and approx. 30 yards down a path from the parking area (great for tents!). Lesson #1- when booking at Recreation.gov pay very close to the parking type. If it states "parallel" then skip the site if you have a RV any longer than 25' and even if <25' proceed with caution (you've been warned). Note: these parallel sites are good for tenters. As for RVs >25', find a back-in or pull through site. The Double Sites ($36/night) are very nice and most of them have a covered picnic table which will help provide shade. So back to our dilemma, the site hosts to the rescue. They were able to move us to site B6 for 4 nights and D18 for the final night. For B6, although our RV door was opposite of the camping area (we had to walk around the RV to use our site), there was a nice territorial view overlooking a small ravine with a nice wooded view. There was traffic noise coming from the main road, but it wasn't too bothersome (maybe we were just ecstatic that we didn't have to stay in H33). Loop B sat up on a hill so we were able to capture 1-2 bars on Verizon & AT&T. For the final night, we were moved to D18, which fit our 34' RV & F350. Since we were down hill from the B loop, we didn't have the road traffic, however, we struggled to get any cell reception without the aid of our cell booster (which only gave us 1 bar).
The campground was very clean and well maintained with trash, fresh water and toilet facilities throughout the campground. There are many great sites for tenters with plenty of flat, even terrain for pitching a tent. The 2 hosts (Patrick & Mike) we interacted with were extremely helpful and went out of there way to assist us with our site issue. (They mentioned that they've been struggling to get National Forest Service to update the information on the website to communicate that the parallel sites should be "tent" sites and not open for large RVs).
The campground is located 2-3 miles off Hwy 69 where you'll have access to Costco with Gas/Diesel fueling stations. The lake is a 15 minute walk from the campground or you can drive to the North or South end of the lake for a small parking fee. This campground is a great location if you want to explore what Prescott has to offer both in town and its surrounding area.
We will definitely return to this campground again (but only if a back-in or pull through site is available).

This campground is three miles from civilization but you won't hear it. Easy to run to a grocery or Costco for extra stuff. If you rig has a problem, there are three RV dealers near by. The historic town of Prescott is a nice place to visit if you want to get away from the campsite.

The CG sign said that it was full but we stopped to as the hosts if there were other campgrounds nearby. They said site 35 had just opened up so we scored a nice site. The female host was so nice and helpful. We were able to get the access pass rate of $9/night which was a steal. The sites were spacious and level; the pit toilets were newer and super clean. We wished we hadn’t booked the private campground. We would have loved to have been able to stay longer.

There are no sites with electricity.
Loops B and E have flush toilets. The rest of the loops have vault toilets.
Water is available but only to fill containers.
All sites seemed level. Site 7 seemed too small for even a small tent. All the others were adequate for their stated use.
We were there in October and saw several tarantulas. Coyotes are also prevalent.

Lynx Lake is a very busy campground and reservations are required as it is always booked during the summer. We were in loop G, site 28, which is a very level parallel spot with a nice steel firepit and table.
There is some road noise in many of the sites during the day, but that dies down during the evening and through the night. We walked the campground with our dog a couple times and saw many nice sites that were a mixture of back in, pull through and parallel access. We generally prefer back in sites and made note of the sites we would try to book in the future.
There are a few trails directly accessible from the campground and the lake is just a few minutes walk away. We were able to ride our mountain bikes from camp up trail 305 which passes through the Hilltop campground and out to Walker Rd before returning on the same trail.
Wildlife bonus- we also saw a couple tarantulas crossing the campground road during one of our walks and had a skunk pass through our site one evening.

Upon arrival I talked to the host to decide which sites were available & which could fit our 33ft 5th wheel. Many of the spots are for smaller rigs. We chose a spot based on her recommendation, set up only to find out it was a double spot so we had to pay double. But it was a very quiet, large spot with tree coverage and it worked out wonderfully for us. Site #19. Pull through. Covered pavilion with 2 concrete picnic tables & a metal ring firepit. Only 1 neighbor. Vault toilets, potable water fill, dumpster, trailhead to the lake all right across the street. We decided to back out instead of driving the tight loop around to exit. Close to lots of shopping but feels like you're miles away. The Campground is set up for dry camping only.
We had zero Tmobile service in the campground but were fine while exploring historic Prescott.

Heavily shaded campground makes portable solar a requirement and, I am sure, a nice break from the hot Arizona sunshine in the summer.
Great access for hiking; multiple trails leave right from the campground.
Occasional Verizon service; not reliable.
