I stopped here overnight on my way to Death Valley, and although it's a fine place to overnight, I wouldn't stay here any longer than I had to. Luning is a convenient stop along the highway, but that's about all it has going for it. The area is covered in trash and I couldn't help but feel bad for whoever lives in those dilapidated houses lining the streets. Date of Stay: September 2015 It's a rest stop right off US 95 in Luning, NV (an unincorporated, very small town). The rest stop is in a 35 mile an hour zone, so traffic isn't flying by, but you still hear it. Luning is literally in the middle of nowhere, so don't expect any nearby amenities.
