We stayed four nights at Lums Pond to check Delaware off the map and to replenish with full hook-ups. We are 68' long with our HDT and 45' fifth wheel, and our Rand McNally RV GPS took us to the main entrance for day use of the park, which is NOT connected by road to the campground. Our only option to turn around was the farthest parking lot (God bless the ranger who gave us instructions), and it was TIGHT getting in there! Make sure you're going to the campground entrance off Red Lion Rd. When I typed it in by hand it worked, even though the GPS showed the SAME ADDRESS! Our site was plenty long enough - there are several that will fit a big rig. The grounds are like a park, with some well-trimmed trees near the sites and grass in the middle of the campground circles. You can't beat the price - private campgrounds in the area charge $75-$100 or more. Individual shower rooms, and a few full bathrooms that are handicap accessible.
Cell data service: ATT -114 dBm, Speedtest showed 60 Mbps down, 3 up, Nighthawk with window antenna.
T-Mobile -100 dBm, Speedtest 147 Mbps down, 9 up, Mifi with no booster.
We loved it, we'll be back.

Signage is adequate. Check in didn’t exist. A note at the kiosk said to proceed to your reserved site. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are paved, in good condition and very big rig friendly.
Our site, 37, was a paved back in in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50s amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is very good. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was well manicured, neat and tidy
There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult in some sites because of trees. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. There is a camp store located on site
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $40.00 per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again.

At $44 a night it’s not much. But it’s Delaware and there are full hookups. Any other state I’d give it 3 stars. It’s basically a big field with sites on the perimeter with trees/shade. MTB trails and a pond are among the amenities.

This state park is close to our home, so it is great for a early season shake down trip or one last getaway before the winter. Easy access to the campground and the sites are spread out and spacious. Nice trails around the pond and kayaks are available for rent.

Very quiet and clean, nice facilities, large sites with plenty of space between neighboring sites, great playground and pond access for fishing or boating. So reasonably priced at $34 a nite (the extra $4 was a fee for online reg.) The only negative I could add was no swimming facilities. Not an issue for us, but if we were traveling with our kids I think they would be bored after a couple days. But overall a great park, would def stay again.

Full hookup site with 20/30/50 A service.
Bathhouse had 4 bath/showers and 4 showers. They appeared clean and well-kept.
Dumpster / recycle bin available but was overfilled.
Access to hiking trails within walking distance. GoApe and Sunset Stables in park.
Quiet at night, friendly atmosphere.
Definitely will come again!

Our GPS wanted to take us to the main park entrance on Howell School Rd versus Red Lion Rd to the campground entrance on the other side of the pond. The gate and store were not open so we went directly to back-in site 26 with FHUs. Our reservations sheet and vehicle pass were on the post when we arrived. Back-in was okay with having to swing our F-450 and 39’ 5th wheel into the grass between sites across the street. Utilities were smartly placed at the middle of the pad. We had 2 to 3 bars on Verizon and 2 bars on AT&T. However, we had trouble with AT&T maintaining internet on our Weingard Connect. The CG is in two loops. Sites 1-30 make up the first loop and that is where most of the larger rigs camped. A rough estimate (double check site size online) is that sites 12 - 18 will take larger rigs up to around 45’ but you’ll need to park your tow vehicle or toad angled in front of your rig. Our site was long enough for our 39’ fifth wheel but we had to park our truck at an angle as well. The second loop does have larger sites but is mainly suited for small rigs to include a tent area. Both loops have a large grass field in the middle that the sites back up to, which is great for playing outside games and without many trees so you could use satellite from almost all the sites. From a spaciousness point of view, the best site in the CG is 17, but it is near the walking trail. The shower house also contains a small laundry with 3 washers and 4 dryers that are reasonably priced, although one washer was out of service at the time. However, there was not a change machine. You could purchase firewood from one of the on duty camp hosts. A short drive from the campground to another Lum’s Pond State Park area there’s a really cool dog park where you can walk the dogs off leash down trails with open play areas along the pond. One of the best features of this off-leash area is how secluded it is away from the main road. We also found out that the State Park is haunted but we didn't see or hear anything weird. If in the area, we would stay here again.

Camped here the week before Thanksgiving 2020, in site 29 along the pond, great spot! Took my 2 dogs to the dog park, all open trails, spent about three hours here! Weather didn't cooperate all that much most of the time, but it was beautiful!
