We camped here for two nights in August of 2022 - we were trying to find an electric spot to wait out an incoming storm and this worked out great! It was first come, first serve and the SUPER nice young guy managing the CG gave me a map of the open sites. We picked #29 as it was level and long enough to not disconnect. Most of the sites are seasonal - lots of RVs with yard art and lights and no one there. Sweet little lake (our site didn't face it) and decent place to be for a few days. The sites were definitely more RV Park style - close to each other without foliage between, but a great spot for us to hide out from a full day of rain.

Like many campgrounds in the Upper Peninsula, it's just partial hookups. Water and electric only. But there is a dump station. The water pressure was high at 70psi and you could really feel that pressure in the restrooms (which were clean).
The beach are is nice. We tried fishing but the water is so shallow and sandy that we didn't see any fish. But the kids had fun playing on the playground and running around on the grass.
We enjoyed several beautiful sunsets over the lake.
Cell service was strong at times then a little shaky at times.
The location is a bit far from much. Not many grocery stores or gas stations nearby so make sure you plan accordingly.

We stayed at Luce County Campground in mid August. We were originally going to stay just a couple of nights to do some sightseeing, but we were so charmed by the campground that we extended our stay!
The campground is on North Manistique Lake. The lake has a very gently sloping sand bottom. The water is as clear as polished glass! We enjoyed taking our beach chairs out into the lake and sitting in the water. There is a section of beach for people only, and a smaller section for people with dogs. The people only area has picnic tables, basketball court, volleyball court, swingsets. The dog area has a cleanup station with bags provided and sturdy half log benches to sit on.
The bathhouses are exceptionally clean. There are no laundry facilities, but there are a couple of laundromats in the nearby towns. Ice and firewood are available onsite.
Our campsite included a very sturdy picnic table in excellent condition, a very large fire ring, water and electric.
Many of the campers are local folks who keep their rigs here all summer. They are the friendliest bunch of folks you could ever hope to meet! They made these southerners feel like friends.
The campsites and grounds are meticulously maintained. There are no weeds or overgrown areas where people will be using the space. There is absolutely no litter anywhere in the park, and if someone accidentally drops something, before the day is done the staff will be there to pick it up. Lots of love and care and hard work go into this park and it shows!
From this campground we were always about an hour away, or less, from everything we wanted to do. It's a perfect central location for exploring the eastern side of the UP!
