It was okay when I was there, but I would recommend calling the Coconino National Forest for current conditions. (928) 527-3600

They are not currently allowed. Loy Butte Road is in the Coconino National Forest and they currently have fire restrictions in place.

A Forest Ranger walked into our camp on 5/16/20 and said no fires or charcoal grills due to a high fire danger.

We had no problem last November; but do stick with established fire pits. I don't know if restrictions change with the seasons but if they do the USFS website would publish something for that area.

I am pretty sure you can. I would suggest calling the Coconino National Forest Rangers to find out.

This is a nice Fire map, to see current fires and where they are located. https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5922/. For current fire conditions… this is the website to check for fire restrictions, etc. https://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/coconino/landmanagement/?cid=stelprdb5331631&width=full#FireRestrictions

There is a sign when you first drive in that will tell whether there is a fire ban for that time or not.
