Arrived here from Quartzsite a few days before Memorial Day weekend. It was nice to be in the mountains, and enjoy cooler temperatures compared to Quartzsite. The campground is very quiet during the week. Busier on the weekends, but still not too bad. The vault toilets are clean, and having the trash dumpster is nice. My site was far from level, but it worked fine. Not many sites here would acomodate my 33' 5th wheel.
But there are a few, encluding 16. There is no water services here. However, Affinity RV in Prescott offers a free dump station and potable water to RVers (they did ask that I offer a donation to the water fund if I was getting 50 gallons or more. I offered $5, and the lady was elated.). There are lakes and trails in the area. Nice hiking/walking areas. This was my first time in this area. I'd return. There are also some free 7 day limit camp site in the area that are worth checking out.
Startlink a bit chalanging due to the great tree cover and shade. :-)
All in all a nice area, and place to stay...
Roger would stay here again

Awesome campsite. $10 per night and worth it. Clean and well kept throughout. Vault toilets and must say pretty darn clean for vaults. No drinkable water, however, the Host showed me there are 2 large barrels next to the vault toilet that I used water from to put out my campfire. I stayed in spot number 5, it must have been designed as a double sized spot because had tons of room and no one was directly on either side which was great. I really don't need the room as I camp in my SUV, but, nice to not be right next to other people. Some of the other sites looked a bit small and close proximity to the neighboring campers which would be fine if you are going as a group. I arrived on Saturday morning around 10AM. Maybe half the spots were already taken from night before. The host promptly came over and said hello. We chatted for a bit and he was very pleasant. Campsites are pretty flat, nice fire ring and very solid concrete picnic tables. If you stay in spot number 5, watch out for the squirrel....he is a bit friendly but don't fall for his ways, he will steal any food left out on the table! There is a bit of traffic on the road, saw many ATV types so evidently there is ATV use area nearby. Right next to the restrooms is an off road type road maybe saw half dozen people drive in and out during the day Saturday so I would not pick one of the two sites in close proximity to the toilets. The road in / out is fine for any vehicle, do be watchful as there are some good sized potholes will want to take it slow if are in a regular passenger vehicle. Only real negative was a couple staying a few spots away were rocking out to '70s music after dark, a bit annoying how some folks don't respect people around them, however, they did cut it out by 10PM.
AZK would stay here again

Great campground hidden in the mountains of Prescott. There are a handful of prime spots right along the creek. We've been lucky enough for there to be a bit of water flowing. Lots of wildlife to be seen. Watch out for Javalinas here, we had a large group hang around our site for several hours. We couldn't scare them away. Downside, people come and trash the place and treat the place like a frat party. Garbage in the creek and food dumped around the site. Week days are better to avoid tgw drunken morons. Road in is dirt and pitted, however we saw large rv's manage to get in.
