“Tent only. Vehicle access is blocked by a gate that is permanently closed”

Nice spot but know that it is for tents only. You must park your car near the port-a-potties and then carry things to a spot. The spots are nice and not far away from the car park. It’s quiet enough and for the area it’s one of the few places to camp.

“Place Of Contradictions, NOT free, unsuitable for large rigs”

We don’t recommend this place, unsuitable for a medium-size RV. We dumped our 27ft 5th wheel at a nearby boat ramp area (where we ended up taking a chance to camp the night) to scope this CG and dead-end road past it. One tent camper was inside, the site was small in thick woods with low-hanging branches. Contradictions: One sign said it was Open May – September (this was mid-May), BUT, it was blocked off with a locked gate. Another sign said “No Vehicles” BUT another said it was $11/night for vehicle camping. (Note all CG’s in this area seem to have price increases by $1 or $2).
Abandon Hope All Ye who hope to find any remote spot to RV-camp alone around this area – there’s little to find, and signs say ‘Camp in designated areas’.
Price was $11 per night, 50% off with senior pass.
Some noise from trains crossing nearby trestle bridge
