Are there any interesting day hikes (5 - 15 miles) in this area? Are there any water sources where dogs could cool off?

On the same road there is a trailhead for a day hiking trail. Very close is the Red Rock Conservatory where there are a bunch of day hikes. No water for cooling off unfortunately. Beautiful place.
