Lewis lake camp is in much need of help they are working on new tables and fire rings as throughout other national forest in the United States. The road into here as stated earlier by others for 7 miles one of the worst roads I was on in Wyoming this year. I realize it is a wilderness Road. Lewis lake camp is in much need of help they are working on new tables and fire rings as throughout other national forest in the United States. The road into here as stated earlier by others for 7 miles one of the worst roads I was on in Wyoming this year. I realize it is a wilderness Road. However, they can do a little something to fix it. The campground had river valleys running through it. Hopefully the improvements will come in time.

Overall Rating
This small campground is wooded and kept clean well provisioned. Most sites are not on the lake. The primary forest access road has innumerable wash board sections.

Very small CG (9 sites on a loop) by Louis Lake. The Louis Lake Road has stretches of bad washboard but otherwise ok. The CG road is gravel; sites are gravel. You may need leveling blocks for some sites. Tight loop for trailers >25 ft, though some longer ones managed to squeak through. Sites have fire ring, picnic table, bear box; some... more

You may need leveling blocks for some sites. Tight loop for trailers >25 ft, though some longer ones managed to squeak through. Sites have fire ring, picnic table, bear box; some have tent pads. Clean vault toilets. Trash receptacles. No water. No cell service.
There is a lot of boondocking along the Louis Lake Road and some boondocking sites along the road to this CG, though most are pretty sloped.
