Loreto is such a sweet town with great food and people. However, it is not big rig friendly and the narrow city streets can be a nightmare. The one RV park we have always counted on is Loreto Shores and while they aren't that big rig friendly either, there are enough pull through sites to make it feasible.
Loreto is divided north/south by an arroyo and Loreto Shores is on the southside. It's tricky driving through the arroyo but it's doable. Of course you can only attempt it if it's open. For the foreseeable future, it will be closed as they are building a bridge across the arroyo. (YAY!)
The folks at LS sent us an understated text message saying there was road work and it might be hard to access from town, so we should take the road behind the airport. I wrote back for more specific information and they never responded. So when our GPS said to turn on the dirt road just past the airport, we thought it was a mistake. It wasn't. The only way to get to LS during "working hours" is with a southern approach, on that dirt road. Trust your GPS on this one.
Do not trust management. In other times we've been greeted by a wonderful man who obviously cares for the property and his guests. In this experience the park was left in the hands of a much younger man who seemed ambivalent about guests, park conditions and general assistance. You are on your own when he is in the office.
Sites are so close you can hear your neighbor cough in the morning but again, this is the only easy option for big rigs. I'm hoping that changes because this is a great stop in Baja.

At another site of a friend's teardrop camper, management asked him to move his car so customers renting overhead boat storage would have slightly better access. His rig was only 8ft long and yet he had to park over 50 yards away.
On top of it all management was rude and site was expensive - $25 per night for dry camping & 20% sercharge for credit card use!
Oh, and this site is not on the shore! There are condos between the RV site and the beach.

We enjoyed our week here. Our rate came out to about $25/night USD since we stayed a whole week and got the 7th night free. We had full hookups and from our site we had an ocean view. (Most sites didn’t.) our big rig fit well in the site we were assigned (we had called ahead to reserve it) and we enjoyed meeting the nice neighbors who visit their homes there seasonally. The grounds are maintained very nicely and the place is managed well. The pool area is nice, but a bit chilly in February. Lots of loud barking dogs at night in the area. The park is gated and we felt very safe. Great proximity to town. Not the best beach, but there is beach access. Park WiFi wasn’t usable but we had good TelCel signal. We would stay here again!

Daily rate above reflects a one night discounted weekly rate. This is a full hookup park and the electrical works! After dry camping for a while we were happy to have full hookup. The park has toilets and showers that we didn't use and a laundry room with three washers and three dryers that we did use. These machines only take American quarters and have American prices $2.00 to wash and $1.25 to dry. But they are convenient.
The park also has a swimming pool and a very nice pool area facing the ocean which is just a few steps from the campsites. There is also an area out back for rinsing out your boat or average sized vehicle, which was a bonus for us. And a large room with tables and a small kitchen, as well as an outdoor barbecue that apparently are available to campers.
Spacing is tight, but in our case we spent most of our time exploring the town and its whereabouts and one day paddling on the water. There is a view of the Sea of Cortez from one small area but otherwise buildings blocked the way. These seem to be owned by mostly snowbirds. It's quite close to town as well.
Noise level varies. On Saturday night there was a party nearby with a band that played until 3:30 am! Fortunately, we're sound sleepers and I brought earplugs. In the mornings you can hear a chorus of far away roosters and sometimes you hear barking dogs.
As I've written before, the tight spacing is typical for an "urban" park so I still give it four stars for the other features.

The beach was not the best, but you can walk or bike to downtown for a variety of decent restaurants. There is even a microbrewery with decent beer. A couple of a large grocery stores, and the best hardware store right down the street, that had everything we needed. If you stay for 7 days, you get one day free. The place is almost full with regular seasonal campers, American and Canadian. All in all a good bunch, we even played bingo one afternoon. The only complaint is all the dog barking at night from the neighborhood.

El Pulvo: noun. A thin, crushed rock like substance found on many of the roads in Baja. You may know it as dirt, but you'll never drive on as many dirt roads as down here.
