Stayed one night. Wanted to dump and flush our tanks for the winter but the dump station is designed to dump on the way in…..not out- could not make the loop to go around and dump because the trees were too low on the back loop road. Other wise clean, nice hosts. Full hookups were all taken by long term campers.

The non-seasonal sites (8-10) are located at the bottom end of the loop, in the pines, backing up to the woods. Pretty close together for sure but not intrusive. The one bath/shower house (most campers use full hookup) is a bit dated but very well kept and clean. But the campground’ greatest strength is its staff, both owners and hosts. Delightful people all around. Will definitely stay here again.

Owner managers (?) Nancy and Larry very sweet, easygoing. Fairly small camp without much activity, not for you if you like lots of action or if you have lots of kids with you. Outside of small town, no Costco, etc.

This campground is basically one, oval loop, with no sites on the backside of the oval. We were at the end of the oval, among the trees. Our site only had EW, but we loved it. The owners let us use the site next to us for our living space and fire pit, so we had lots of room. I’m not sure we would have been as happy in one of the full hookup sites. We couldn’t get satellite, but we didn’t mind. We enjoyed fires in the evenings and our AT&T worked well enough to stream at night.
We didn’t use the facilities, but everything looked very nice. The dump station was one of the nicest I’ve seen. The office has a few items and they sell, and deliver, firewood. The campground is next to railroad tracks, but there weren’t enough to bother us at night. The location is fairly close to town and you can find most of what you need there.
We enjoyed the small farmers market on the weekend, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. We also kayaked on the Rifle River using Troll Landing Campground And Livery.
We really loved our site and our stay here. The only drawback was we couldn’t stay longer.

This is a quiet park with plenty of space between sites, so you don't feel cramped. While some of the sites don't have trees between them, the park runs North-South, and in late afternoon the sun sets behind the trees. The southern sites are in the pine trees.
There are FHUs and W/E sites. There is a weekly rate as well. Only cash or checks are excepted.
The park owner, Loraine, is really sweet. You feel like you have a "house mother" checking up on your stay when she stops by in her golf cart.
There are two strict rules. Dogs must be kept on a lead, and the speed is 5 MPH, no more.
There is wi-fi, but is a bit weak at the south end.
There is a dump station with un-potable water for flushing tanks and potable for fresh water tanks.
There is a train track next to the park, but I don't think the train goes by more than 3 times a day, and rarely at night.
This is a great park.
