Perfect overnight Boondock location. We went down at the end of the overflow parking to the RV parking areas. We were the only ones there. It seems folks that stop by here tend to take care to not ruin it for the next people. Would definitely do a stay over here again.

We stayed on a Friday night. Relatively level. Cool mountain air was perfect! Saturday morning was BUSY with mountain bikers coming to the hill. We had to move pretty quickly to be out by 7am since we were taking up several parking spaces. Had we known we would have left by 6:00 am.

Not all the area was level. We choose a spot bordered on one side by forest. It was surprisingly quiet, peaceful with no close other stoppers.

Free winter boondock camping opportunity with ski out access to an awesome ski hill, Lookout Pass. Freeway access to the parking lot is simple and the RV parking is plentiful. We saw many truck campers, home made trailers, yurt style tents and even a diesel pusher joined in. This place was perfect for a weekend get-a-way as we live just an hour away, but the ability for kids to ski and rest and eat and ski and rest really made the trip. Lookout Pass averages 400+ inches of snow so if you stay, plan accordingly. The staff keeps the parking lot well plowed out and it’s obvious where they move the snow to which made it easy to avoid setting up camp in their way. The lot is flat but there is a gentle grade so you will need to do some leveling of you outfit. There is a pretty close grocery store/liquor store in Wallace if you need a resupply. There is also 2 bars of LTE service from the RV parking area. There is not a ton of direct sunlight even on the gorgeous days so plan on running the generator. Most people who had generators were using them at night so don’t feel bad about the noise. Clear skies at night provide for an amazing star gaze. All in all it’s a total a gem of a place. We will be heading back for sure.

This was a great overnight spot. The parking lot is a bit bumpy but the road on the other side is smooth and extremely wide. There's signs for RV parking with plenty of room, some folks still went down the road a little ways to get more seclusion. We were there in the off-season (lodge was closed) so it was probably quieter than normal, only 1 other RV. You can see the interstate through the trees below but surprisingly the noise wasn't as bad as some of the RV parks in the area.

Fair Warning: i90 is never quiet for long but this sure beats a rest stop overnight.
Easy access from the highway, stay right to access the larger vehicle area. Decent Verizon speeds for streaming, did not try to work from here.

We are honored to write the first review for this place, which is right on the Idaho/Montana border (mile marker 0 in Idaho). The ski area allows overnight RV parking in its lots - we drove through the overflow lot to a sign that said RV parking (assume this is for ski season). We chose this section because it was completely shaded (temperatures outside in the 80s), very private, and overlooked the distant cliffs. We fired up the barbecue and enjoyed a nice out-door dinner. We will ride the Hiawatha bike trail in the morning and purchased our trail tickets here at the ski resort - they also have bike rentals if needed (we have our own bikes). In the morning, we will drive 5 miles back into Montana to the start of the trail where there is parking but overnight parking is not allowed.
You can hear some traffic noise, but doesn't bother us. Cell service (ATT) is 1 bar but boosts to 3 with our WeBoost
