Overview of Lonomea Backcountry Campsite
Lonomea Campsite is located at the end of the Koaie Canyon Trail next to the Koaie Stream within the Na Pali-Kona Forest Reserve. The Lonomea Campsite is equipped with a trail shelter and composting toilet. DANGER: Do not try to access the Lonomea Campsite during stormy weather, the Waimea River and Koaie Stream are prone to flash flooding during heavy rain. The Lonomea Backcountry Campsite is located within a designated public hunting area, wear bright colored clothing and stay on marked trails.
