I was bummed we only stayed here for 2 nights. I would have enjoyed more time here. A lot of the sites backed up to large areas of grass which would be really nice to spend the afternoon. I was bummed we only stayed here for 2 nights. I would have enjoyed more time here. A lot of the sites backed up to large areas of grass which would be really nice to spend the afternoon. It was close to KCMO which was our purpose for staying there.
The grounds seemed remote, but there is a road running alongside the trees near the West Loop - so we could hear that a little - but pretty quiet overall. Nice camp-hosts and clean facilities. We didn't use the showers, but they looked to be a bit above your standard campground showers. A good variety of pull through sites and back-in with a lot of shade trees. Our sites and the ones around us all looked to be level enough.

We stayed here for the convenience of being near KCMO. The park has standard, water & electric & full hookups (price reflects 50A service - helpful in high summer temps & humidity). We stayed here for the convenience of being near KCMO. The park has standard, water & electric & full hookups (price reflects 50A service - helpful in high summer temps & humidity). Park hosts were very helpful and attentive. Security gate entering campground limited access by non-campers. Nice feature in a popular day use park. Several nearby boat ramps and bike paths.
