Come to find out they have been special friends for 30 years. They don’t enforce any of their rules and they have a full page of them.
Don’t recommend at all.
Showers are dirty and water is cold.
Poorly maintained
Don’t let your children play the cars speed and no one does anything about it.

It is quiet and dark, a great place to see a shuttle launch. Sites have picnic tables and fire pits. There is also a small island (Scout Island) that you can explore on foot. The sites offer 50amp and water, but no sewer. There is a dump station. Pets are allowed. The roads are all blacktop and the sites are grass and sand, but fairly flat. Nearby there are boat rentals and a few gift shops. The views are beautiful!

The website to book is kind of a mess, it will not show any rv sites if you sort by length of rig in the search options, you have to look at detail of each site to see what sizes are allowed at each site. The water sites look really nice. Bathrooms & showers were clean and decently sized, water pressure should have been better. Also, wifi worked great, no issues streaming anything. Mosquitos come out of the grass at sundown with a vengeance.

One of my wife’s friends endorsed this campground as their favorite, so we decided to try it out. View was great. Site was all dirt and more than 4 inches out of level. No sewer hookups- but two dump connections. Seemed like every site had a dog (us too), but many were left to bark without restraint. One got started at 6:30 am. Some were left to run loose, one tried to come in our camper with us to get at our little dog. Our visit started with paramedics and deputies parked in front of our site dealing with someone who drank too much in a site near us. That ended up being a good indicator. The weather was warm, and the wind was fierce all 4 days. We could not use our awning, felt bad for the tent campers. We have not really encountered as many rude people on any other trip. On the plus side, easy to watch rocket launches from Cape Canaveral. Short drive to multiple public beaches. You don’t want an east west site, there is no shade. A north south orientation allows you to use your own rig for shade. Many seem to wedge their campers in this way to deal with the sun. In summary, the park has great potential, but like many other things in life, people ruin it. I doubt we will be back, we have found many better places to go.

Most of the campsites are waterfront with spots to launch a kayak or paddle board right from your site. There are a handful of inland sites, but even if you aren’t waterfront, there’s a boat launch area to get out on the water. The campground was full when we stayed between Christmas and New Years, but it wasn’t ever rowdy and it was almost completely silent each night by around 9 or 10pm. The campground has a laundromat and dump station and there is a marina store about five minutes away where you can buy firewood. Great kayaking and lots to explore in the park. We saw tons of dolphins and even a couple manatees.
We were there during a vacation, so we didn’t test cell speeds, but we had no trouble staying connected (we watched Netflix on the iPad in the evenings with no issues and uploaded photos/videos to social media). AT&T was stronger than Verizon and the sites closer to the river side of the island seemed to have better cell service than the area we were in by the entrance. We didn’t put up the cell booster, so this was unboosted.

Like other Brevard County Parks, the sites are 'odd'. The electrical hook-ups are shared with your neighbor, and there are no rules on which way you can position your RV. The sites can be kind of close together and packed in... and you will be impacted by the friendless of your neighbors. But if you get a great site, you can have a FABULOUS ICW view.
There are a great collection of biking trails right at the park leading in to the state park, which are super fun to explore. Lots of walking opportunity to onto 'Scout Island' (beware of the killer mosquitos!).
Our stay was amplified by getting back to our site in the middle of a storm to find a pelican tangled in fishing line at our site. We called the local wildlife rescue and the park rangers, and with their guidance we were able to team up with a neighbor to do a rescue on our own - capturing the bird and removing the line. Amazing memorable experience!
But even without that, we'd choose Long Point over Sebastian Inlet in the future if camping in the area.

Great first half of stay. Rude neighbors left beer bottle on “our” picnic table; way too many people in their site; 4 dogs; hogged “our sites” waterfront area. We were unable to enjoy anything Saturday afternoon and evening.
We’d come again with full waterfront site and pray for better neighbors.

We stayed here November 9-15th. This campground is on the Indian River and has some interesting features. It is a bit remote and there is only a bait shop nearby. All other stores and restaurants are a minimum of a 20 min drive. All campers are allowed to park however they want in this campground as long as you fit in the spot. Folks were backed in, pulled in, sideways, etc. Most spots are very shallow so there were some interesting configurations. A lot of the spots have a mini launch that you can launch a kayak or small boat from. There is a true boat ramp as well. A lot of the spots were muddy when we were there and would be difficult to navigate. Wifi is advertised, but it was very spotty. During the week, the campground is quiet, but come the weekend, it is busy and chaotic with trailers and boats and parties. We utilized the shower house and there are not enough showers for the amount of folks here. We did like that it was individual units though. The one we had was not so good, but it was the only one available at the time. There was a high and low shower head and the high one would not work. And the hot water truly barely got to warm. The last need to know is if you react to “no see ums” be cautious. They are so bad at this park that after 3 weeks, I am still covered in itchy bites. Just be prepared. We would go back to this one for the kayaking alone!
