This was a great spot for the night. It was close to town and I only saw a couple people drive by as well as a lovely view. The ground is super uneven but you can make it work. Great place for people on road trips and need a spot or a night or two. No amenities because it is just a gravel spot but there is a outhouse right before you get there

“Large gravel area just outside Whitehorse with lake views”

About 10 minutes from the visitor centre in downtown Whitehorse, about 5 minutes driving on a good gravel road. Large gravel pull out with beautiful views over Long Lake. Pass the busy parking area at the Long Lake boat launch and continue up the hill to get there.

Area is gravel footing but not particularly level so be sure to bring blocks with you to level up your rig. Pull out is adjacent to a gravel road so it may be dusty particularly if conditions are dry but the road is not very busy.

No amenities at all but no signs prohibiting overnight parking. Note there are other areas along this road where you could do some backcountry camping depending on your rig. We camped farther down off a dirt road that was decidedly 4wd and high clearance only. However this area would be accessible to anyone.

Some dog poo at the site but little to no litter. Yay! Bell Canada signal good. My AT&T hasn't worked anywhere in the Yukon. Wifi available at the Whitehorse Visitor Centre.
