We stayed here overnight to go to the Grand Canyon in the morning, there were a few RVs and campers so we knew it was the right place. Super easy to find, calm and quiet. Perfect after our 6 hours drive from the North Rim. I would definitely recommend this place for an overnight stay!

We tried to get in on both ends of the loop. The roads are very bad if snow and mud are present. Had to move to 306.

It’s within the national forest and just a few miles south of Grand Canyon Village. We pulled down a little gravel and dirt road, which led us off into the forest. On either side, there are little pull-offs under the trees with a campfire ring and usually some log seating. We were met with some gorgeous starry sky views (including some shooting stars) when we got out of the car and most spots seemed nice and flat. It was very easy to just pull in at an empty spot, set up camp, and drift off to sleep. We had a very restful sleep, saw that we weren’t too far from a few other campers, and had a very short drive of a few minutes to the Grand Canyon that morning. It was a perfect spot and we’ll probably stay there again on our next visit. (Oddly enough we didn't see a canyon. Did we miss it?)

Take the first left after leaving the town of Tusayan. Gravel road with at least 30 spots to use. Big rig friendly on maybe 10 sites. Busy dirt road so be prepared for the dust. Just 8 tenths of a mile to the south gate. Most sites have rock ring for a nice campground fire.
