We arrived quite late and had no trouble to find free spots. It's very quiet, very close to grand canyon. Perfect!

I Thought It Was Going To Be Packed, But It’s Pretty Empty. It Is A Sunday Night Though. It Is Right By The Green line Bike Path. Nice Ride To The Park.

There are tons of spots, but it fills up sooo fast! It's minutes away from the Grand Canyon, which makes it very convenient if you can find a place.

We found this place on Campendium when we were visiting the Grand Canyon. It was easy to find. The dirt road through was a tad bit hairy but not terrible. We found an empty spot right away and set up camp. It was very quiet and peaceful for the night. We loved the proximity to the canyon. The only downside was the dirt there is so fluffy and loose that it just gets everywhere! You must drive very slow or else you will coat all your neighbors with it! Also, if you leave before dawn like we did, watch out for wild horses! We almost hit one on the road leaving the canyon! All in all this was a great spot and we would definitely stay again.

We arrived around 4 pm. There was a mix of tents and RVs. We easily found a pull through spot that was relatively level and set up. It was very windy while we were the and it snowed. But it was a great place to boondock. We would stay there again!

We had to cancel our reservations due to cold (overnight freezing temps) weather at Trailer Village in Grand Canyon and arrived a week later to accommodate our friend's TT. We tried to get two sites a week later at Mather and Trailer Village, they were all booked up.
When I was doing some research for our trip. I remembered about Long Jim Loop, and we took a chance. We were really surprised to the availability and how close the park entrance was.
The sites are easy to access, and we had to level the rig which was not a big issue. The only issue was you had to watch out for water in puddles with deep mud ruts once you got off the main road. You just need to be careful and take your time to navigate. This should not be an issue during the drier seasons.
I wished our schedule allowed us to stay long then 1 night. I would defiantly recommend staying we felt safe there was some traffic on the gravel road but did not disturb our sleep.

Heard elk every night and even saw some in our campsite! Road was in good condition. Loved this site and would definitely stay again. Spots tend to fill up quicker after 5/6pm.
