Arrived without a reservation but lots of sites but no full hook up. Our site was hard to get a 20ft rv into but it did back onto creek. Friendly check in
Close to manitou incline and pikes peak. Laundry facilities were nice

NPS Florissant Fossil Beds is 25 min away, Manitou historic district (and Pikes Peak cograil) is 15 min, Woodland Park is just minutes up the road, Cave of the Winds (fun lantern tours) minutes away in the opposite direction, Garden of the Gods about 20 minutes away, and the road up Pikes Peak is just minutes away. Water and electric hookups at many sites. The creek actually borders a residential neighborhood, and the highway noise can be heard (although tapers off at night). This place has a playground and fishing pond for families. We were there 3 nights—the weekend night, the campground full (mostly with Colorado Springs area groups). Weekdays were MUCH quieter. Enjoyed having a space between campsites vs most of the other local rv campgrounds where it resembles RV bread loaf slices. Stayed in site #40 (back in site between pond and creek) and #47 (back in by creek and near the tent camp area). Dump station near main building.

We needed one night to do a final wipe down and sweep of our camper before we winterized it. Lone Duck is always packed all summer long so, as a local, we were able to get in on a Monday night no problem. The spots are quite small but there are lots of things for the kids to do. It's a great place for people to walk around. The facilities are kept very clean and the staff are extremely helpful with anything you need. The one thing that concerned me was the kids playing on the playground well past 10pm, with no lights on the equipment. I do like the fact that the pool gate locked at night so there was no sneaking in since a parent wouldn't be watching. If you're in spots 9-10-11-12, just know it's a dead end so be prepared as you pull/back in with your plan of entry. One guy had to move his truck so another guy had enough room to maneuver his rig into that spot. Once you unhitch, be conscious where you park your vehicle as others may need to come or go. That little section is quite tight.
AT&T Cell phone service in our pocket of the campground was almost non-existent. And the campground Wi-Fi signal was pretty poor as well. The rest of the campground may be fair, but I wouldn't know for sure. Also, our little area was the closest to the highway. Overall it was very quite but once in a while we could hear a big rig. It wasn't often and honestly not really that noticeable, but I wanted to point it out if this is important to you.
DON'T MISS YOUR TURN - this campground is a little hidden.
If you're coming EAST from Woodland Park, you'll want to be in the right hand lane. Just after Ute Pass elementary school there's a right hand merge lane from Chipita Park Rd. Immediately get into that lane because that's going to be your right hand lane that will be the lane that goes down to the hill to the campground.
If you're coming WEST up from Colorado Springs, take the pass nice and easy and once the speed limit is above 45 mph again, get yourself in the left hand lane. You'll see the turn for Chipita Park and you'll want to make a U-turn to the right lane so you can go down the hill into the campground.
If you miss your turn, continue heading East on 24 towards Colorado Springs. Just past The Winery at Pikes Peak (the next light), you can make a right on Fountain Avenue. This turns into Chipita Park Road. You can take that side road all the way back up (West), and then turn right onto HWY 24 and get in the right hand lane for that right hand down hill into the campground.
Overall we will definitely stay here again, especially for our last night for final sweep out/wipe out before winterizing. But in the future I'm going to ask for a different area of the grounds - away from the freeway, easier to get in and out, and hopefully better cell signal.

The restrooms and showers were clean, and the office/store was well stocked. If you don’t get a full hookup, there’s a dump station next to the main building.
Access is a bit odd - coming from the East you have to do a U-turn. Once you’re at the exit, there’s a steep grade down to the campground.
We thought there would be road noise from Highway 24 but it was barely noticeable. The location was perfect for visiting Garden of the Gods, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, and Manitou Springs.

There aren't many great options for paid RV camping in Colorado Springs. This RV park attempts to give sites some space and charm unlike most of the other place we saw. There is a house in the center that houses all amenities including a nice pool, playground, bathrooms, and laundry. There is no sewer at any sites, just electric and water - a dishwashing station, fish cleaning station and dump station at the corner of the house are clean and serviceable. Wifi works really well, my kids streamed You Tube without issue. Flatness of sites depends on your site, we started in 74 which is a very flat pull through, then moved to 50 (so we could extend our stay) which is less flat - we got just to level using all our jack pads. Owners are very nice and the Duck theme really adds a fun touch! There is a mascot duck (currently named Gary, who happens to lay eggs) that the kids loved watching and interacting with, and a huge loveable dog named Tug. This is slightly out of town but very easy to get into Colorado springs, you are as close to the Pike's Peak drive as you can get! Definitely check out the Pickle Shack, the pickles and olives were delicious!
Note their sign has broken so watch the road carefully, you might miss it!
One star deducted for age of bathrooms/laundry - we chose not to use either but they weren't horrible... just not sparkling clean.

We depended on the hosts for phone calls to and from Airstream to get a tech out. They went above and beyond in helping us. That alone is worth 5*. We will be forever grateful for their kindness and helpfulness and if in the area again will stay here. We passed the driveway a couple of times. We would recommend a larger sign.

Maybe you don’t care. If not, you’ll enjoy constant highway noise. You can literally see cars and trucks whiz by throughout the night. There’s nowhere to walk either. They maximize occupancy by placing sites in every nook of the camp, so you can’t even walk in a loop without going through people’s camps. Also the creek is private property and the campground abuts residential backyards. Man they must hate this place. I sure did. Bought four nights and left a day early since I couldn’t work on their WiFi.
