We were in site #9 which was level and long so we didn’t even have unhitch the truck. We were right on the river it was nice to watch the river go by. The campground was nice an quiet. I was surprised at the amount of litter in the sites though. All of the sites around us had plastic bottles and a bag of litter in them. I thought that ... more

We love this park and will definitely stay here again! The weekends did fill up, but there was never an issue with noise or rowdy people. $32 per night for standard sites (W/E), $34 per night for sites with sewer hook up, but there’s also a dump station that is easily accessible. Bathrooms are clean and kept well-maintained by the staff, and the laundry facilities work well (the dryer on the left does a better job!). There are two playgrounds for the kids which kept them very well entertained. The fishing off of the lock is also really good!

Since it is a small campground, campfire smoke is very dense. They do have a small laundry, 1 washer and 2 dryers. Fishing seemed to be great there. They did have 2 hiking trails, one is fairly easy. We hiked both every day.

Hidden gem. Small (<30 sites) and not on any major highway. On Coosa River with boat ramp access to water. <10 sites with full service otherwise 50 amp with water and dump station. Gravel pads, paved roads. Well maintained. Lots of space between sites. Probably only few sites handle big rigs. Rome GA 15 minutes away. Again, hidden gem.... more

Cool old downtown with restaurants and small speciality shops.
