Cell signal was decent. There we’re a couple old vehicles in the parking lot and on a campsite that looked abandoned, which struck me as odd.
Sites were right on the river. Quite beautiful and spacious enough. Plenty of space to maneuver your rig also. No water access or swimming - but pretty.
Only downside was a huge barge that was docked on the opposite side of the river. They had their diesel motor idling all day and night. It was pretty noisy.
I would stay here again if passing through - No store on site and no amenities close by, but I’m ok with that!

The electricity was 50/30 and the power pole looked new. The site was within a quarter inch of level and was a concrete pad. Each site had its own trash can that were emptied frequently. It’s pretty cool watching the big barges move up and down the river during the day, but at night it’s a little loud. Make sure you have good brakes because the road coming into the campground is a little steep!

We weren’t in a waterfront site. Those were very nice but we did wonder about noise from barges at quiet times. If you are sensitive to night time sounds, a sound machine should help but it would be something to know about.
There are a couple of trail heads in the campground. One trail is long and flat- alongside of the river. We saw lots of trail runners. It was perfect for our small children.

Steep hill at entrance to campground but doable with our Class A. Nightly rate only $14 with our NP Senior Pass.

Definitely prefer the concrete. 10-15 sites are right on the river and those generally have longer “driveways.” The weekend we stayed, the host was a bit curt. Not rude, but not overly friendly, either. The layout of the campground is nice and flat. Very kid friendly in that we felt safe letting ours go “exploring” on their own. They’re never really out of sight. The bathroom/bathhouse is in desperate need of an upgrade, however. It’s kind of gross, if I’m being honest. Still, I would def come back. The river views and ease of access to water is great, and there’s a beach/swimming area nearby that’s seldom over crowded on weekdays. Cell coverage, for us at least, was spotty at best.

Sites are very large and decently spaced. Many overlooking the river. The side pad at our site was huge, 40x40 and then the parking space for the trailer! A bit of a drive on a winding road to get anywhere but the spaciousness and quiet are worth it.
