This is a very basic fishing campground on the Yellowstone River. We needed a one night stay between Yellowstone and Bozeman airport...it served it’s purpose. We took one of the 3 sites left when we arrived and had to listen to someone run their ungodly loud generator the entire night. The couple across from us got into a heated and disturbing fight at 11pm, which ruined the energy and mood of everyone at our site. The upside is, we were able to see the moon, Big Dipper, Milky Way and a comet all in the giant sky above us. I’d go back in a pinch, but wouldn’t make a point to return. Sites are pretty small, vault toilet and boat ramp.

We were able to scout this area before bringing our rig in. The camping area is small and crowded, the sites are small, there are a couple of sites you could squeeze (and I'm literally mean squeeze) into if you have a bigger rig but this is not spacious at all. We drove through the campground with our Ford F350 and it felt super tight just in the truck.
The photos posted are deceiving, where that camper is, IS NOT the campground it is the day use area.
So beware if you have a big rig.
Sorry no photos to post, we were so disappointed that we just wanted to leave.
The first photos posted are from 2014, they have since then modified the camping area so it is not just open space anymore.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay on the way from Yellowstone to Bozeman.
The campground is easy to reach over a short gravel road, nicely located and quiet. We didn’t use the bathroom, I therefore can’t comment on it.

Visited 8/20. A few miles down a dirt road lies the river access area and around 20 campsites, 5 or so bordering the Yellowstone. Site 11 is on the corner and offers privacy, although the whole CG is fairly open. Clean bathrooms and nobody here on a Monday.

Awesome campground with spots right on the river. The mountain view made our spot unforgettable. We will be back.

Pull through sites big that are well-suited for bigger rigs.
Pack it in, pack it out.
The raptor show here has been great.
The road coming in is gravel, dusty and on my arrival, quite washboard - good reasons to take it slow.
BTW, I took a ride up to Pine Creek Campground which isn't too far from this site. Those folks with bigger rigs who have gone up that way are a heckuva lot braver than I am. Very narrow, winding, and steep road. Once up there though, it is really beautiful.

We are so thrilled with this campground. I’m wondering if the reason there aren’t any other reviews (at the time of this writing) is to keep it a hidden gem. It’s 45 mins from Main Street in Bozeman and close to Livingston for basic supplies. $18 night if you don’t have a fishing license and $12 with a license. Guys we are literally RIGHT on the Yellowstone river. And site #7 is encircled with shade trees so it feels very private.
All the sites here are pull-through. We are in a 38’ class A and had no problems getting here (very flat elevation with the campground being gravel) or fitting into a site. There are a few that do look like there’s some lower hanging tree branches that could make it tricky in other sites but most are clear.
We have AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. TMo is 3G only, but Verizon and AT&T is flying with 14Mbps+ speeds!
This is a walk-up fishing access campground with many people rafting. We arrived on a Sun around 11:30am and saw most of the campers clearing out. So we had our pick of sites and chose #7 for the tree privacy and river front view.
Note: you may have to get out of your car to take a closer look at the blue reserved tickets at the sites. We thought ours was taken when we saw the blue ticket but when we looked closer we discovered they people who were there just left their ticket and were done camping.
We have solar and refill our water tank using spring water with an electric pump (and Berkey filter for drinking and cooking with water) so for us this campground is excellent!
And unlike the Mallard campground up the road, there is not nearly as much road noise and the drive into the park is flat and maintained gravel. Mallard was very steep and entirely covered in large rocks and huge potholes.
You are limited to 7 days of camping.
