We’re so glad we stayed in the equestrian section, so peaceful. We actually didn’t want to leave could have stayed here for months.
I would certainly recommend this facility!

They have a 14 day continuous stay limit but, if you need to, you can leave for 7 days and then stay again. It looked like the camp host site was occupied by a full timer that wasn’t the host, but everything was still neat. They have about 1.8 miles of paved walkway and a lot more dirt walkways that we didn’t explore because it was wet and muddy. A small pond for fishing and short traveling distance to Serenbe (https://serenbe.com) and Chattahoochee Hills (https://www.chatthillsga.us) which have some beautiful sites and outdoor activities too. Carrollton also has a greenway / bike pathway that we meant to see but didn’t get around to so worth looking at that too.
I would stay here again if I need to be in the area for a while and needed full hookup.

Nice county run park west of Atlanta to spend a couple of days. Small, just 23 sites with many pull thru spots. Most are fairly level but some are very sloped. Avoid 20-22. Very quiet, very clean. Not a lot of attractions nearby, but Atlanta is less than an hour away.

Arrived with no reservation at 8:15pm just at dusk. Main gate was closed, but the camp host arrived after a few minutes wait. Very nice and accommodating. Site was very clean, bath house was mostly clean. We would absolutely come back.
Good cell reception with Google Fi.

Tallapoosa park was very quiet, and cozy. The biggest downside was very little cell service, and no available Wi-Fi. That is only important to me because I have to work from the campground. The rv loop is relatively small so things are quiet.
My site had full hookup with 30 and 50 amp.
Site 18 faces the woods, so you have a good sense of privacy, but it also feels a little cramped.

Little Tallapoosa is a pristine, quiet county park that seems much larger than its acreage suggests! It is an excellent value at $30/night for fullhookup sites about half of which are very large pull through sites. Each site is good condition concrete slab, almost all appear to be about level. The sites are comfortably spaced apart. Hook ups are conveniently placed near the edge of the sites. The park, in late November, was around 50 to 75% full during my 5 night stay, but it was very quiet. I was very very impressed with the several (5 or 6) trails that wind through the natural areas of the park, down to the river, past a little pond and winding through the tall pine trees. All trails are in good condition, packed earth or paved, cleared of limbs and leaves, and well flagged/marked. Would consider them all easy because there were no steep grades or dramatically uneven terrain.
The small town of Carrollton is a 10 minute drive away and has lots of restaurants, Walmart and a cute, small historical downtown. Atlanta is about 30 minutes away, depending on where you are going. The park itself is about 10-15 minutes from I-75 and the roads to/from were comfortably wide 2 lane highway.

We spent 2 weeks traveling out to NC and back, visited 7 different campgrounds and this one is in the top three! plenty of space, new roads, a splash pad and best of all paved paths that are ADA friendly! I have posted videos about my visit under the blog tab.
