Little Patch of Heaven Campground

We had already booked another RV park when we saw this one. We stopped by around 5/25/2023 to inquire about their RV park. There were probably 6 campers parked at the time we stopped by. I rang the “ring” doorbell and a woman answered. I told her I was interested in getting information about her park. I was told “go on the website”. Then she followed with “we’re not taking any reservations”. So I followed with “can your park accommodate a 45 foot coach” and I got a NO. When we left, I noticed a coach sitting there, maybe not 45 ft but looked like 38-40 with plenty of room. When I went on their website, it said it was down for construction, something she failed to mention. We left feeling like we met the rudest woman (and probably the only one) in all of Kentucky.

I tried to call for a reservation but you have to do it online. So I made a reservation online but you can’t pay immediately. You have to wait for a follow up email. We are in an area of WV with no cell service so I wasn’t able to get the second email to pay within the 24 hours so the reservation was cancelled. No problem, when I got service again I tried to make another reservation and they refused, even though I changed my dates and explained what happened. They said if I fail to pay within the 24 hours, they won’t make any additional reservations.

Would love to review the facility, but can't go there.

Made a reservation. I had read the reviews about reservations being canceled due to non-payment, so knew I would have to follow up with payment still. I'd sent the request on Friday, so during the weekend while I was away from my work computer the requests for payment came into my junk email, and I didn't see them on my phone. So, my reservation was canceled. Okay, fine.

Sunday evening when I realized this, I simply sent another reservation request. First thing Monday morning it was canceled. Weird... so I submitted another request Monday morning. IMMEDIATELY canceled. Followed by an email that said "You had a reservation with us and you did not pay in the 24 hours I sent emails to you .and I did not pay so that make you not qualified to say here".

I responded, "Hi there, The emails about payment all ended up in my junk folder, and I can’t easily see those on my phone. I monitor that folder while I’m working on my computer, but as it was over the weekend, I didn’t see them in time. I can pay immediately, if you’ll give me the chance."

"Your reservation has been canceled and will be canceled. you did not followed the rule making your reservation the first time that you had 24 hours to pay and you did not do that"

So, I guess I'm banned for life. Classy.
