We arrived late afternoon, the access road and highway are typical West Virginia roads narrow curvy and up then down and repeat…Anyway once there very relaxing and comfortable, we primarily used it as a home base to explore the New River Gorge NP, Babcock SP, etc..the place worked wonderfully for our needs. We stayed at site 8A inside the wooded loop our 30 footer fit easily, water pressure is high so you will need a pressure reducer, 30 amp service was good no issues, everything was as expected. The restrooms and laundry room were very clean and bright, we washed several loads laundry worked as expected. We did not use the fire pit however for this site it was +/- 10 feet from the edge of the access road. The dump station layout is a little odd seems to be laid out for folks arriving then on there way out, it works had to turn around at the office and reverse direction..All and all I would say I would return here and do it again nice job West Virginia.

3 miles off I-64, including an S curve that looked daunting but was doable, even for our neighbor who arrived in a 41 foot motorhome. We tent camped here because we heard about the S curve, but our 16-foot E-Pro could have done it easily.
The best electric sites are 4-19, in a wooded side loop. Sites in the main electric loop are grassy and have coarse gravel. We were in Site 22, and the usable area was rather small.
The nonelectric sites are large and are set in a beautiful forest. However, the nonelectric loop has no bathroom, and it's quite a trek to the bathroom in the electric loop.
The bathroom was clean and fairly modern. A plumbing issue was dealt with quickly.
Camp store closed before the official time of 4:00. The attendant was leaving, but went back inside to get me the wifi password.
My phone never detected the campground wifi. But I got 4-5 bars of 5G on T-Mobile. I was able to participate in a Zoom call with video, and I placed an online order using my phone.
This park has many hiking trails and isn't far from a scenic section of the New River Gorge National Park. It's several miles to Beckley, but a convenience store at the I-64 exit has some necessities. There's also a diner at the exit.
We travel through this area occasionally and will stay here again.

Verizon only had 1 bar. Clean bathrooms, hot showers, well kept state park. Sites not level, but all of good size and some privacy.

Just stopped here for a night on our way North. Will definitely stay again. Very quiet with spacious, wooded sites. We enjoyed a lovely hike from the campground. Hoping to try the disc golf course next time we stay!

Great spot, very quiet and clean. I’ve been here before and would def. stay again. Staff is very nice. Great fields and trails. Road in is narrow, so be careful if your new to your rigg.

Also Beckley has everything you may want restaurant and retail. If there is one issue, is the narrow curvy roads coming into & thru the park. We flat tow and always disconnect before entering a place we have never been to before. I would not want to come down the roads in our 45' Class A towing a Ford 350. We drove in separately, with no problems. FYI using our antenna, we got two tv channels.

This is a nice clean campground with excellent staff. Site 18 was a long pull thru with a good amount of gravel. It was level and pretty private.
This is a great jump off point for checking out New River Gorge. We would definitely recommend staying here.
